Kayaking Club - River Lune - 24th May 2012.

What a Fantastic night to be out at kayaking club with our keen kayaking gang.
Finally we got some warm sunny weather to make the most of the cool river waters.

Tonight we grabbed the canoe's and went of for a paddle up river and on the way had some fun.

Smiley girls.....

Cheezy Grins all around for Paul.
Thumbs up to a good night so far....the best was yet to come......

Then the girls decided to have a splashing war......with Paul and myself.....naughty girls, they would pay!!

Trying some skills, leaning the canoe's over onto their edges to fill their boat.

K and C's boat seems to have fully filled with water....oops.....!!!

                                                                             Sinky sinky time....

Then the boys joined in too....in need of a cool down i think.

                                                       Dave found a rubber ring......excellent...

Not sure what the girls were doing here.....especially Danielle.....

Paul attempting a headstand in our canoe....

Swimming at the end.....poor Jade was left to sort the canoe out after Danielle abandoned ship...

Great night on the Lune gang.....lots of fun and new canoe skills learned.

Keen Year 8's...Kayaking on Coniston Water - May 22nd.

What a fantastic day for us to be out kayaking in the Lake District with a keen group of year 8's.

Original plan was to do some extra caving but when the rare beautiful weather arrived we decided against spending the sunny day underground and opted for some watery fun on coniston Water.

Strating with a paddle down the lake and some fun games on the way.

What amazing scenery we had to look at, we are so lucky to live so close to this wonderful place.

Ahh our 1st game casualty....a capsize....excellent...was this Paul's doing by any chance....

After some more hard paddling and some relaxing in the sun we played some more silly games.
Well done lads for firstly getting set up like this but mainly for not falling in.

                         The Gang...............

We then paddled over to the busy Peel Island, famous for it's other name: Wild Cat Island from the famous novel 'Swallows and Amazons'.....

So we had some fun jumping off the different levels of rocks into the deep pools.
                Time to fly......

Some excellent big jumps from you guys....and some grand poses!!!

Looks like your about to do some strange dive....great...!!!

We were even lucky enough to see a rare wild Osprey circling above looking for its dinner.....

As the day drew to a close, before we got off the water we played one more "wet" game.

Great day guys....next time we will get underground and get some good caving done...!!!!
