History of Outdoor Education Department

The unique provision that is the Outdoor Education department at MCHS was founded 37 years ago by Mr John Gibbison. The department has continued to go from strength to strength. The main aim of the department has not changed, and under the new head of department Paul Aitken, social and personal development continue to be the main focus of activities along with environmental awareness, an appreciation of the area around Morecambe and skill development.
